Downtown Records is comprised of its Downtown and Mercer Street imprints and joint venture partners Dim Mak, Fool’s Gold, and Mad Decent Records.
Downtown Records is distributed by Universal Music’s Fontana Distribution, with certain releases distributed by ADA. Offices are located in New York and Los Angeles.

Downtown Music Studios® is a new two studio recording facility located in the SoHo neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. Owned and operated by Downtown Music principally for artists associated with Downtown Records and Downtown Music Publishing, this modern, cutting edge studio is also available on a limited basis to outside clients. The studios designed by Martin Pilchner of industry leading Pilchner-Schoustal International feature a forward thinking emphasis on higher fidelity recordings and modern ergonomics.
Downtown Music Publishing is a full-service music publisher and copyright administrator with offices in New York and Los Angeles. The Company’s diverse writer roster includes the likes of Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe fame, British writer/producer Trevor Horn and Afro-Beat legend Femi Kuti as well as many writers/artists signed to affiliate labels Downtown Records and Mercer Street Records, such as Cold War Kids, Santigold and Carla Bruni. DMP now publishes over 8,000 song copyrights, recorded by artists ranging from soul legends Aretha Franklin and the Isley Brothers to pop stars Miley Cyrus and Leona Lewis. The Company also offers a complete line of administration services to boutique publishers, film studios and digital media outlets including Check Your Pulse, The Film Department and RCRD LBL.
