Spank Rock

Since releasing his breakthrough debut album YoYoYoYoYo in 2006, the Philadelphia-born MC Spank Rock (aka Naeem Juwan) has come to define a new era in contemporary rap music. Spank Rock’s penchant for clever, salacious lyrics paired with innovative beats by the likes of XXXchange and Benny Blanco echo the party-starting sounds of Baltimore club, Miami bass, and beyond. In 2007 he signed to Downtown Records and teamed up with Blanco to release Bangers & Cash, an EP created in homage to the influential (and controversial) 2 Live Crew. His reputation for energetic and charismatic live shows has brought him to festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella, in addition to a late night TV appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Spank Rock is currently at work on his second full length album to be released on Downtown Records.
